Dolce Mio Amore

So today was the 2nd day of the "secret" sample sale at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane
My friend Frida wanted to go so I tagged along on my lunch hour. I was moaning and moaning about how rubbish it is and that all the stuff is old and over priced and the only money they must make is the £1 they charge on the door....and then I saw it! Like a diamond in the rough winking at me from someone else’s hand. Frida must have seen the look of love in my eyes and then the sadness take over as I saw the culprit heading to the fitting rooms With MY skirt.
I continued to moan at Frida (poor girl!) and she told me not to worry because it wouldn’t fit the girl and that I should keep my eye on the fitting rooms.....Low and behold she was right! How she knew? I don’t know but what I do know is I am glad I went and I am glad she was there because now I have the perfect outfit for a wedding I have next weekend.

Aliens....

I refer to super models as Aliens (affectionately) they are so other worldly looking and strange!!

On my Fashion Show Production course my tutor said to me! You won’t believe how hard it is to get these models to walk in a straight line.....I was sure she was exaggerating...and then I saw this video!

Looks super fun though!!

Jog On

I am so tired tonight, but I just had to do a quick post on these.
I have been looking for a pair of tapered sweat pants for a while. But they all seemed to just...well....look like sweat pants from JD Sports.
Until I found these, they are dark grey with black accents and black stitching which actually makes a huge difference. Couldn't quite sell myself on the gray marl!!The only pair I remotely liked were 80GBP in Whistles (not gonna happen) so when I found these for 20GBP from Topshop I snapped them up.
I really like the way the look and feel but I think this will be a quickly passing phase for me so happy not to shell out on sweats!!!

Chain Gang

I have bought quite a few accessories lately most recently this love heart chain to layer over my Tiffany diamond necklace.
And this huge chunky number, despite the "It looks like a bicycle chain" comments from my very unfashionable bosses I really like it!!
I think it toughens up my silky tops a treat! Not as heavy as it looks but I can feel I am wearing it by the end of the day.

I found a nice tigers eye ring in gold! I am trying to build up my ring collection as I dont have many especially not in gold! I like to wear them on my indexs finger these days....

Don't look at me....

While I was in Hawaii I picked up these pair of Carrera glasses. The original racing glasses, they are super light weight so you can wear them all day and also they fade to clear along the bottom, so you dont need to take them off to look at things!

I want to invest in a black pair but there are a few nice shapes being thrown around right now.
I am quite lucky that I can wear just about any shape of glasses but my shape of choice is definatly the aviator. I think I like them because you can dress them up or down easily unlike other shapes. Aviators also come quite low so they can hid even the most wicked bags!!!

Spring Dressing

I invested in a pair of loafers that were on sale from Dune.
I needed a lighter scarf than the ones I have been wearing.
I found this chiffon, army camouflage, leopard print number in Mango. Pattern shouldn't really work but somehow it does........
Trousers Zara, Linen Blazer Whistles

Ready for the jump?

Seems to be an influx of jumpsuits in the press.....all good and well but I think there is a fine line between sexy cute and ditsy toddler.
My advice? stay away from light colours, florals, jersey, thin cotton and elasticated ankles.....
Of course there are always acceptations to the rule....but not many in this case!

Here are my top picks:

Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney, Halston, DVF, Jessika Allen, Joseph, Paul & Joe
Available at Net - A - Porter

Found! Wedges

So being the big foot that I am (39.5), I have to be careful with wedges or my feet just look really clumpy.
While surfing my new fave site My Wardrobe.com I came across these beauties!
Killing 2 birds with one stone! Safari/Jungle trend and this seasons shoe shape of choice the wedge....
They are luxe and a good price point to boot!
I think the geometrics of the wood and material will take away from the size.
I can see these with my maxi dresses or maybe with black tights or with my silky carrot trousers!!
I will be investing in a pair for sure!

FOUND! - Leather Jacket

At last!!! I think I have found the perfect leather jacket. I have been looking for about 4 years (no really) and until now had not found one I like (for under 500.00 anyway) I have always maintained I don’t mind spending on my hardware as long as it is not too fashion focused (so it will last) and I have been looking for a non fussy (no tassels, shiny zips or other pointless embellishments) and I finally found one on My Wardrobe.
It’s called the Jaro and it is a shoulder heavy number by Supertrash a trendy LA label worn by many of the A list. Good price point and all the zips and poppers are dark so its not to Harley Davidson! It’s a cropped length on the body and arms and looks great for spring layering.

I found more of the range on ASOS and also my Jaro jacket but it was more expensive?! (Jump to VoucherHub post) and they only have the nude which is also nice but I am looking for a keeper not a roll in the hay!! I do like the maxi dress which is going to be another summer staple (love the little gold heels)f mine this year and the multi-stone sandels, I think I will be investing in the brown pair for summer holidays . I have been storing up my T by Alexander Wang maxi dress until I found a nice jacket!

Little leather jacket perfectly modelled by Chanel!!

Discounts!!

So after having found my perfect little leather jacket and moaning about the price I decided that I needed to find a way of getting it cheaper!

So off I went into Cyber land and searched high and low for discounts. I found this site Voucher Hub and even though every time I have triedthese sites before they have never worked, this time it did work and I got 50.00 GBP off of my order!!! So I thought I should share this one so you can all sign up for email updates and get great discounts!!

Nothing better than a bit of money off eh!

Happy surfing!

Smelling Soapy Like Fresh Air

Having moved into my new place and not liking the smell of the previous occupants lingering. I decided I neede a solution and Febreeze was not the answer I was looking for!
After doing a little homework about home fragrance I discovered these 2 amazing things!

Loving everything vintage and Parisian, I had to order some of these papers they are the best things ever! they were introduced in the 1885 and have been a well kept French secret ever since. They smell amazing (not like incense at all) my favourite being the Rose version. they not only smell good but they also work on your inner calm and well being! now whenever anyone comes over they ask what candle I have been burning!! They come in handy booklets and neutralize the air in the entire house any smells of cooking, pets or smoke are cleaned away with the special ingredient Benzoin (usually used by perfumers) and it is 100% natural! Great for travelling too! All you need is a heat proof dish (Or hotel sink) and a lighter to make wherever you are staying your home away from home!

I also came across these lovelies in Liberty's these however are going to be firmly on my wish list as they cost a bomb!!
DL& Company make these they are called Jardin Frutier
My favourites, D'Or De Pommes Et De Poires

Amazingly mouth-wateringly delicious candles unlike any I have smelt before. Fuji apple and anjou pear with tonka bean and armoise housed in solid brass trinket boxes...they really smell like just cut fruit, not the synthetic crap you get with other fruity smelling things.

I want I want I want!!!!!!!

I am super funny about smells....

Love Lulu

Anyway here is the editorial with various designers take on the shortcake gang!
also added an editorial of Chanel from my German Vogue.
Ahhh Chanel! she is defiantly my model crush!!

Westwood in my ear

One day I will tell you the very disturbing story of another famous Westwood who chose to stalk me for a number of months....
On a lighter note I went to a great little jewellery sample sale in St Pauls and picked up tons of Vivienne Westwood jewellery from 10 - 25GPB I joined the mailing list while I was there so the next time there is one on I will post!! (only found out on the day) They had Karen Millen, Ted Baker, V.Westwood and Cath Kidson to name a few.

AA Madness

This is what happens when American Apparel try to stage a "rummage" sale on Brick Lane on Good Friday!!

Who wants to be trampled by the crowds and police just to buy a cheap hoodie or see through leotard???
I can't quite believe my eyes!!! but then not much seems to amaze me with this brands shenanigans....
They should have called it a "scrummage" sale
"American Apparel where you fight for your hoodie"!!!!
