If you happen to find yourself in the square mile, you should head down to the Barbican art gallery.
There is a great exhibition on Japanese fashion in the past 30yrs. Not usually a fan (find it all a bit "much") I was pleasantly surprised. The garments in the flesh are so much more than they seem in pictures or shows! So much attention to detail and intricate detailing all very clever. For those of you who cant make it down I took some (sneaky) shots.... I nearly got a right telling off for taking pics.....The lengths I go to for you lot!!
See some of my faves below.
The red dress on the far right is made out of hundreds of taffeta skulls....WOW
Glad they remembered there roots :) Ms Kitty
Can you see the dolls around the collar? creepy but kind cool!
Sleeves Just like Miu Miu trousers!
Origami just with clothes!! COOL!!!
So clever!!
