DVF Canvas Tote

Needed an extra bag to carry my magazines, School books and camera in so I pickd up this cute tote from DVF. On sale £18 from £30.

I do belive she made this bag for charity but i am not 100% will need to look into it.

Came across this ad for Chanel. All the little tabs are scented. I think it's a really good insert. You could detach the little tabs and put them in your purse your undie draw or in your suitcase when you travel (my ideas):0) Simple but effective.

So on my travels yesterday I passed my fave boutique in Portabello Road and popped in to see the girls. I picked up these adorable earrings and they also gave me some samples of Annick Goutal's perfumes that I was sniffing and ohhing and ahhing over. I will defiantly be investing in Petit Cherie and when my Van Cleefs and Arple runs out I am going to get some Mandragore which is a heady woody scent with a citric base. Its funny though, I visited The Annick Goutal shop the last time I was in Paris but could not find a scent I liked.... and now I have found 3!

I also wanted the final word on the differences between Perfume, Eau de Parfum, Parfum de Toilette, Eau de Toilette and the like. Thought you may find it interesting also so please find below Uncle Wiki's answer! I was surprised about the note on how an "Intense" version of a perfume may be a completely different mix. From Wiki;

Concentration Perfume types reflect the concentration of aromatic compounds in a solvent, which in fine fragrance is typically ethanol or a mix of water and ethanol. Various sources differ considerably in the definitions of perfume types. The concentration by percent/volume of perfume oil is as follows: Perfume extract (Extrait): 15-40% (IFRA: typical 20%) aromatic compounds Eau de Parfum (EdP), Parfum de Toilette (PdT): 10-20% (typical ~15%) aromatic compounds. Sometimes listed as "eau de perfume" or "millésime". Eau de Toilette (EdT): 5-15% (typical ~10%) aromatic compounds Eau de Cologne (EdC): Chypre citrus type perfumes with 3-8% (typical ~5%) aromatic compounds Splash and After shave: 1-3% aromatic compounds Perfume oil is necessarily diluted with a solvent because undiluted oils (natural or synthetic) contain high concentrations of chemical components (natural or otherwise) that will likely result in allergic reactions and possibly injury when applied directly to skin or clothing. As well, the scents in pure perfume oils are far too concentrated to smell pleasant. By far the most common solvent for perfume oil dilution is ethanol or a mixture of ethanol and water. Perfume oil can also be diluted by means of neutral-smelling oils such as fractionated coconut oil, or liquid waxes such as jojoba oil. The intensity and longevity of a perfume is based on the concentration, intensity and longevity of the aromatic compounds (natural essential oils / perfume oils) used: As the percentage of aromatic compounds increases, so does the intensity and longevity of the scent created. Therefore, although the oil concentration of a perfume in Eau de Parfum (EdP) dilution will necessarily be higher than the same perfume in Eau de Toilette (EdT) from within the same range, the actual amounts can vary between perfume houses. An EdT from one house may be stronger than an EdP from another. Men's fragrances are rarely as EdP or perfume extracts. As well, women's fragrances are rarely sold in EdC concentrations. Although this gender specific naming trend is common for assigning fragrance concentrations, it does not directly have anything to do with whether a fragrance was intended for men or women. Furthermore, some fragrances with the same product name but having a different concentration name may not only differ in their dilutions, but actually use different perfume oil mixtures altogether. For instance, in order to make the EdT version of a fragrance brighter and fresher than its EdP, the EdT oil may be "tweaked" to contain slightly more top notes or fewer base notes. In some cases, words such as "extrême", "intense" or "concentrée", that might indicate aromatic concentration are sometimes completely different fragrances that relates only because of a similar perfume accord. An example of this would be Chanel‘s Pour Monsieur and Pour Monsieur Concentrée. Eau de Cologne (EdC) since 1706 in Cologne, Germany is originally a specific fragrance and trademark. However outside of Germany the term has become generic for Chypre citrus perfumes (without base-notes).

Taste of London Festival

So this weekend I took my Love to the Taste of London festival in Regents park for his birthday.

Even though the BBC promised rain it turned out to be a lovely sunny day with good food and laughs! Of course I was in "cute dress" spotting mode and couldn't help but snaps a few pics for the blog. I also test ran the new Top Knot trend which I was so happy to be able to do ( YES - still traumatized from my cropped hair)

We had a lesson at the cocktail academy and I bought some Rhubarb Liquor and cupcakes

Great if you can't make it to the discount store in Bichester. Some good bargains to be had! I have ordered a new DVF lipstick and I am lusting after the chiffon harem pants for the beach,(non sale) I am trying to stock up on key pieces for my Hawaii trip!!

Alexander Wang for Gap

So between work Yoga and PR class I managed to attend the Launch of Alexander Wang for GAP range. Grazia organized the night and I must say they put on a pretty good show.

They were ready on time and they had the most delicious cupcakes and cocktails.

Goodie bag was a little bare but to give them credit we did get the new Grazia which was not on the selves until the following day. (unlike Vogue which gave out old editions in there goodie bags)

I picked up this little dress which I love love love!! and will get lots of wear out of, going out of the autumn and into the......autumn?? Where is summer already?
