Creme De La Trend

"Obsessively opposed to the typical"

Sunday, October 24

Well the other day I was moaning about only having black undies. I have not managed to change that, and unfortunately the likelihood of that changing anytime soon and just been reduced.

Jean Paul Gaultier has teamed up with super desirable La Perla on a capsule collection or Co branding as Giovanni Bianchi so gracefully puts it!
Based on JPG's iconic cone bra which he created for Madonna in the 80's he has created a collection which is worn to be seen! his shoulder pad bra is just perfect for slipping under a tuxedo dress.

The collection was shown at a "Maison Particular" an amazing 18th Century house owned by the Lafayette family (Lafayette shopping center is my favourite haunt while in Paris)......just perfect!
And who did he choose to show off his new colab at the end of his Haute show? Dita of course! and she looked impeccable as always!

I love the way Giovanni Bianchi referred to the collection as corsetry - It really is the funniest thing all this Parisenne self importance but I must admit that's one thing that I love about the French!

If you a few moments watch the clip below, its a nice video on the collect and a short clip on the show the gold dress @ 1:54 is AMAZING!!! :0)

Weekly Forecast

So how about I do an outfit every week that sums up my current fashion feelings?

Maybe I could do a work, evening and weekend look?

So today it is super sunny in London town but also freezing cold!! Heres my pick for today!!

Not so boring brogues!!

Aren't these brogues cute as a button? I am super bored with brogues at the moment hence me investing in a super shiny buckled patent pair from Hobbs. They are all a bit too manish (+ I take 39.5 so they can actually look like men's shoes) I came across these from Marc Jacobs and it seems my prayers have been answered to funk it up!! The light colour lifts the whole shoe and the sparkles are interesting without looking tacky! I think the glitter is coated which brings down the sparkle a little nicely. Its all in the details! I like it! I like it alot!

2 cheers for Marc and Co!!

Crazy kinda love

Never been to sure what the fuss is about this girl but I must say her dress choice here is impeccable.
This dress is from Elie Saab A/W 10 and I am in love with it!! I am turning into a bit of a goth I think as my wardrobe seems to be getting super full with dark colours.
I would have made the dress a little more fun though by wearing some interesting shoes.....maybe something from Brian (Atwood) like these Swarovski beauties or his patent bow pumps.....

My current fave on the spectrum is the delightfully named "Oxblood" it is however the PERFECT shade of dark red! As displayed perfectly by Christian L below.

Unique Qlo

I am on the look out for a short camel jacket. I haven't found one I like yet but had a look on the Uniqlo's new collection + J (By Jil Sander) and they have some very sweet offerings. The first one is from there main line. It's made from "Hollow" wool that should keep you nice and snug without the bulky feel of wool coats. Great price point at 49.99GBP

The campaign is pretty good as well.

All my christmas's!

Have you heard? Lanvin are doing a collaboration with H&M!

Hopefully better than the abysmal Jimmy Choo saga and something H&M can finally do to rival the Karl Largerfeld collection....... Am I happy they chose model of the moment Natasha Poly to be the face of the campaign? NO! it should have been Freja but I guess she is busy doing other things right now.....Like Chanel for example!!

I do love Lanvin but up until now it has cost too much to even browse the collections...namely it has cost me my fashion sanity and many swoons!

Can't wait! Hits selected stores 23rd November. Watch this space!

Days gone by...

Some pics I forgot to post from the Autumn.

FOUND: Winter warmer

New winter coat! This is going to be my main coat this winter. I picked it up in Mango.
Its a fitted tailored wool coat. I like the long length and how structured it is I also like the mannish feel of it even though I will be wearing it with a lot of full skirts! I decided against purchasing an expensive camel coat. I don't think it is an investment I will get a lot out of. I get bored to quickly. Black is timeless and chic, because don't forget camel was only out of fashion 2 mins ago!! Black however is always in!!
Scarf from Zara

My pretty!

Picked up a wicked red from the new MAC collaboration with Disney's evil ones! Its a dark plum and ideal for my reddish/yellow skintone.
As always the packaging is a winner.

The shade I picked up was "Dark Deed" its very dark and a true blood red, reminiscent of a smacked lip rather than a bitten one... lol

Sweet.

I picked this CEUTTTE dress up in New Look of all places!!!

I fell in love with the colour and the design is pretty cute. I may pick it up in black aswell. It has served as a great "office to date" dress ;0) Great price point at 34£ or 27£ with student discount

Suger Honey Iced Tea

Finally got my hands on my Alex Monroe Bumble bee necklace! I have been chasing it all over London!!
My fashion twin snapped him up for me. Thanks sweetie!

Its my new favourite jewel, perfect mix of sweet and dark and most importantly an interesting hand made piece in gold.

Play time

Oh my goodness! How slack have I been? I just don't seem to have the time to be updating as much as I had been!

I have been making mental notes and trying to take pics whenever I get the chance!! I am also making over my wardrobe for winter!! I have bought quite a few staples so I will be sharing what I think is worth the invest and what is not!!

I bought this camel suit in Whistles a little while ago. A bit on the pricey side but I figured I could break it up and get alot of wear out of it.
The jacket is my favourite of the 2 it is very fitted and has a little peplum on each side. The skirt is a longer length classic A line. There are a lot of strange camel colours on the market at the moment. My favourite being the Toffee colour ways.

Such a Cutie!

New book I want.
Although I liked Whitney best from the Hills Lauren was a close 2nd!
I liked her style although she is a little to simple (style wise) for me and I would have to funk a few of the outfits up a bit. She is very classic and a cutie too!!
I will be picking her new book up when its released!
