Smelling Soapy Like Fresh Air

Having moved into my new place and not liking the smell of the previous occupants lingering. I decided I neede a solution and Febreeze was not the answer I was looking for!
After doing a little homework about home fragrance I discovered these 2 amazing things!

Loving everything vintage and Parisian, I had to order some of these papers they are the best things ever! they were introduced in the 1885 and have been a well kept French secret ever since. They smell amazing (not like incense at all) my favourite being the Rose version. they not only smell good but they also work on your inner calm and well being! now whenever anyone comes over they ask what candle I have been burning!! They come in handy booklets and neutralize the air in the entire house any smells of cooking, pets or smoke are cleaned away with the special ingredient Benzoin (usually used by perfumers) and it is 100% natural! Great for travelling too! All you need is a heat proof dish (Or hotel sink) and a lighter to make wherever you are staying your home away from home!

I also came across these lovelies in Liberty's these however are going to be firmly on my wish list as they cost a bomb!!
DL& Company make these they are called Jardin Frutier
My favourites, D'Or De Pommes Et De Poires

Amazingly mouth-wateringly delicious candles unlike any I have smelt before. Fuji apple and anjou pear with tonka bean and armoise housed in solid brass trinket boxes...they really smell like just cut fruit, not the synthetic crap you get with other fruity smelling things.

I want I want I want!!!!!!!

I am super funny about smells....

(only found out on the day) They had Karen Millen, Ted Baker, V.Westwood and Cath Kidson to name a few.

AA Madness

This is what happens when American Apparel try to stage a "rummage" sale on Brick Lane on Good Friday!!

Who wants to be trampled by the crowds and police just to buy a cheap hoodie or see through leotard???
I can't quite believe my eyes!!! but then not much seems to amaze me with this brands shenanigans....
They should have called it a "scrummage" sale
"American Apparel where you fight for your hoodie"!!!!

Colour Me Candy

Well hello there!!

I have been busy like you would not believe! I have been missing my blog terribly! (and I hope you all have!)
Let’s get started!
Desperately desperate for spring!! I have been painting my nails in all sorts of candy colours and abandoning my OPI black cherry staple in favour of a few up beat shades! I posted about button moon and now I have found the perfect candy lilac.. I also found a Models Own colour that looks sneakily like that certain sold out Chanel shade...

I also bought a sweet swing bag! I love the colour and it reminds me so much of my trip to Morocco...

I have been given tiny origami creatures.....

More Exibitions!

Seen as I posted about Kensington, I had to post about my favourite London exibition space aswell!!

The V&A will be having a Grace Kelly Exibition showing her dress collection and more titled "Dressing a Hollywod Princess"!

I will be there face pressed against the glass sighing heavily!!

Info from the site below.

The spectacular wardrobe of Grace Kelly will be on display at the V&A. Tracing the evolution of her style from her days as one of Hollywoods most popular actresses in the 1950s and as Princess Grace of Monaco, the display will present over 50 of Grace Kelly's outfits together with hats, jewellery and the original Hermès Kelly bag. Dresses from her films, including High Society, will be shown as well as the gown she wore to accept her Oscar award in 1955. These will be accompanied by film clips and posters, photographs and her Oscar statuette. The display will also include the lace ensemble worn by Grace Kelly for her civil marriage ceremony to Prince Rainier in 1956 and 35 haute couture gowns from the 1960s and 70s by her favourite couturiers Dior, Balenciaga, Givenchy, and Yves St Laurent

Enchanted Princess

Hello!!!!

I had to do this post, but am super busy so excuse the briefness! get yourself down to Kensington Palace for the Enchanted Exibition. Featuring installations from Vivienne Westwood, William Tempest, Stephen Jones, Boudicca, Aminaka Wilmont and Echo Morgan.

It opens tomorrow and in May they will have special evening openings! I will be going at the weekend AND in may.

Nothing in the world matches regal evenings!!
Find info below from the site

Kensington Palace is being transformed. As the walls of the palace are being shaken by a £12 million renovation project the rubble and the dust is unleashing powerful and secret stories about the lives of Kensington's princesses.
At the heart of the Enchanted Palace journey is a quest for the seven princesses who once lived here. Their lives have been re-imagined as installations offering a fascinating interpretation of the palace’s hidden stories. The rebellious princess who ran from an arranged marriage into the arms of love. Sad queens who bore the pain and sadness of lost babies. The young heir to the throne who escaped the controlling grasp of her overprotective mother.

Visitors must use their eyes and ears to find clues that reveal the identity of the elusive royal residents. Guided by an enchanted map, the advice of obliging palace guardians and a few helping hands, their search will take them to all the hidden corners of the State Apartments and lead them to a glittering finale where they will at last meet the princesses face to face.

Bringing the Enchanted Palace to life are the palace guardians, our expert front of house team and professional actors, who provide a personal insight into the strange world of the palace.

Spellbound fashion

The Enchanted Palace reveals the emotion and drama running through Kensington Palace’s history. Contemporary fashion collides with the Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection and real stories from the palace to create stunning installations, fashioned by world famous designers including Vivienne Westwood, William Tempest, Stephen Jones, Boudicca, Aminaka Wilmont and Echo Morgan

I am so excited I feel ill!

FUN!!

Button my Moon

My friend Sam called me the other day and told me about a nice polish she had bought.
It's called Button Moon and its by Collection 2000.
It's a nice pastel green shade as seen on RiRi etc! and will look a treat with my new Holly Fulton skirt
So I went and grabbed a bottle!
If the name alone doesn't cheer you up then the £1.79 price tag should!
I feel so much more summery! Thanks chick!! just need to find a pastel lilac now!

Banksy does a Sundance....

About time the movies hotted up a bit!! I must say I have been a little disappointed this year with the exception of Avatar!
I nearly tripped over crocodile shoeboots when I saw a billboard for Banksy' movie
and when I saw the trailer I was cracking up looks like this is going to be fun fun fun.
Being a hardcore Banksy fan and wondering if fame and fortune had finally got to his head and ruined him he offers up this.

Classic!! - N.B. Sound track sounds heavy!!!
In UK cinemas 5th March!

A post of many wonders!

Ola!!
Well I have been super busy of late and have been a bad bad blog master!

Johnny Depp I think must be my favourite actor along with Brad. He is so interesting to watch and commands his roles in such an authentic way
I posted a few pics previously but the art work is so great have another gander!!

I love Tim Burton and have been enamoured with his work for many years! I love his stop animations and I even want a corpse bride wedding cake!! strange but true (Luckily my Beau loves the idea!!)
Selfridges has a special Alice in the Wonder room exhibit, displaying special jewellery by Stella McCartney and Tom Binns' also showing scenes from the film itself in Selfridges iconic window displays before the premier! and original costumes from the movie!! I will try and take a few snaps for those who can't make it to sunny London! - If you can it is running until the 14th March!

I will head down there at the weekend! while stopping by H&M to see the latest's Sonia Rykiel collection which launched on the 20th. Lets hope it is not as disappointing as the Jimmy Choo foray....
