Garden Party Pt.2

Today I headed down the the designer jumble sale at Andaz. It was a sweet turn out although I got there early to bag the bargains and so I did not see the final turn out.
I liked the quirky things they had like the men's section which was selling beers and showing sport on a wide screen.
It was smaller than I expected and there was lots of variety From Alexander McQueen to Burberry to Topshop the pieces I picked up were vintage and slightly more purse friendly than what most stalls had on offer. The best bargain I came across was a cashmere and ostrich feather Burberry dress for £150 I had seen it on the runway a few seasons ago!! Some lucky lady would have bagged a bargain!

Shake rattle and roll

Being the beauty junkie that I am, always on the hunt for the newest thing offering up dewy youthful skin as seen in vogue etc etc, I was excited to come across this little gem!
Not to everyones tastes, this Derma Roller has hundreds of tiny pins attached that prick your skin as you roll and trebles the absorbing power of your chosen product while encouraging collagen production.
It is completely painless despite the concept and Angelina is apparently a huge fan!
Note: Beware imitations - Poorly copied by products could be painful!!

Christopher Kane

Although I could not partake in the scrum for these dresses when they hit London a little while ago I was super pleased to see my girl rocking it.
Rihanna is my Lady Style Crush she gets it bang on all the time.
HOT!

Just click your heels......

This weekend I will also be heading down to the Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ lounge to have a drool over all the Dorothy slippers on show. It is the 70th Anniversary of the Wizard of Oz and many great shoe makers (including Giuseppe Zanotti, Sergio Rossi, Manolo Blahnik & Jimmy Choo) have been commissioned to make there interpretation of the famous Ruby Slippers from the movie. Even though this is there first (and only, I think) stop in the UK they debuted in Saks' window and also went on display at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week
I could only find pics of the sketches so far but hopefully I will be able to take some pictures when I visit the lounge.
Visitors to the lounge can get a free glass of champagne this Saturday It runs until 20th August 09 A 10 per cent discount is also on offer to guests visiting the exhibition until August 20th.
My shoe messiah says:
"I welcomed this project mainly because I've always liked the movie, I think it's a masterpiece," explains Zanotti. "I've imagined a modern Dorothy and what's better than a pair of sparkly flat ballet shoes to travel in her imaginary world?" Swarovski CRYSTALLIZED™ lounge, 24 Great Marlborough Street, London, W1F 7HU.

What they wear....

Look look real worker ants from Vogue (in uniform), nice to know they don't all walk around in Haute Couture all day!
(Note:This was an article on the stripes trend)

Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton will be releasing his version of Alice in Wonderland.........
I am dizzy with excitement!! and to put the cherry on the cake i think it is going to be in 3D!
Catch the trailer here!

Running in heels

I caught 2 episodes of this while I was at my mama's house and was instantly hooked! I cannot believe how in love i am with reality fashion shows!!
It follows 3 real life interns at US Marie Clair (who also happen to share a flat) they have suitably mis matched personalities and are all unashamedly ambitious and fame hungry. The drama that ensues is great and the bi*ching, back stabbing and clothes are all GREAT!
Unfortunately I cannot get this show on crummy Free view If you have Sky then you can catch it on channel 253 I will have to wait for the DVD or another trip to mother dearests.
