I defiantly want to catch the Baroque 1620-1800 exhibit. I love the furniture and clothes from that era and i think i will be able to get a lot of inspiration.I defiantly want to catch the Baroque 1620-1800 I love the furniture and clothes form that era and I think I will be able to get a lot of inspiration.
While I was at the Mad Hatters party I had a look at the other exhibits around the museum I stumbled upon an Asia section with great vintage jewels and intricately embellished gowns.
I bought my web address this week cremedelatrend.com is now officially mine! it's great because now I dont have to print up cards with my hotmail address and blush everytime I give out my details because I chose such an silly email address all those years ago.
This weekend I travelled up to see my good friend Lauryn who was
celebrating her engagement to the lovely Joe. We had a really good night (first time I have been out in ages) I bravely tried out my new Nars Lip stain and gloss duo and actually really liked it!!! I have always been scared of reds but this one seems to be the perfect shade. Just made sure I went easy on the eye make up so i didnt look tooo 80's!!!
Wearing: Nars Lip duo in Indian Red (stain) Moon Fleet (Lipgloss)
Large Bow Head band - H&M (looks suspiciously like a certain Luella head bow!!)
Tonight I went the the V&A for the French Connection Friday Late Bonnet Parade. I wore my vintage hat which was dated to the 1950's.
There were many so many nice hats being worn, I took photos of some of my favourites.
I visited the Hat Dressing Booth and met a new friend from Royal Milliner John Boyd (she dated my hat) and kindly dressed my head and gave me advice on what suits me and my oval face. We picked out this uberOTT pink number which of course I fell in love with immediately.
I wore my new Japanese denim skinnys sheer blouse, Kurt Geiger bow shoes, Gucci bag and vintage hat.
I had so much fun. As well as talks and a paper bonnet parade, there was a "pimp my cap" event a hat re-fashioning workshop (I steered clear of that one with my precious) and a mad hatters tea party.
I picked up a Ophelie feather headband hat & a book on vintage Tiaras :0) every princess should have one!
It is really light and easy to carry. The built in wireless is a god send, only negative is the lack of a DVD drive. On the plus it has many USB slots and a slot for my SD (camera memory card) to go directly into it. I just bought a small external DVD drive which I can easily carry along with the laptop, mouse, my paper work and a Vogue in a standard size laptop bag
